Privacy Policy
Last updated October 27, 2026
This policy explains what information VinBook collects through this website and the VinBook app, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information you send us through this website
When you request a demo or contact us, we receive what you enter in the form:
- your name, your dealership's name and your business email address;
- your phone number and message, if you add them.
To limit repeated or automated sending, we also keep a one-way hash of your network address, which is changed every day. It isn't your address itself and can't be used to identify you.
We use this information only to reply to you and to talk with you about VinBook. We don't sell it, rent it or share it with advertisers. This website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies.
Records kept in the VinBook app
Dealerships that use VinBook keep their vehicle records in it, including the names and addresses of the people they buy vehicles from and sell them to. Those records belong to the dealership. We store them to provide the service and don't use them for any other purpose. Each dealership's records are visible only to the people that dealership has invited. Records are never deleted from the app, so the dealership can keep the history the law expects; a dealership can export its records at any time.
Where information is stored
VinBook runs on Vercel and stores its data with Supabase, in data centres in the United States. Information is encrypted while it travels to and from VinBook. Sign-in emails are sent through our email provider.
How long we keep it
We keep demo and contact requests for as long as we need them to follow up with you, and delete them when you ask us to, unless we must keep them by law.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your request. Use the contact form and choose “Ask a question”.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
